Art in Action
Students learnt skills in expressive painting techniques to create an artwork inspired by German Expressionist Artist Franz Marc. They decided on an interesting composition and painted using a variety of expressive techniques whilst considering colour symbolism to create feeling and emotion in the artwork.
Semester 1 Year 7 students considered abstracting form, texture and pattern to create clay sculptures using hand building construction techniques. They were inspired by sea life and investigated sculptural work of artists such as Jenny Orchard and Courtney Mattison.
